Texas Woman Accused of Using Fake Pizza Delivery to Ambush Ex-Husband in Shocking 18-Shot Attack
A Texas woman is accused of orchestrating a chilling ambush after allegedly using a fake pizza delivery to lure her ex-husband outside his home.
According to investigators, 31-year-old Marquita Marie Rice traveled from Georgia to Dallas, where she allegedly hid near her ex-husband’s residence dressed in black while a real pizza delivery driver unknowingly approached the home.
Authorities say the victim stepped outside believing someone had mistakenly delivered a pizza he never ordered. That’s when Rice allegedly opened fire.
Police allege she fled after the initial shooting but then returned moments later and continued firing until the victim had been shot 18 times.
Despite suffering critical injuries, the man survived the attack.
Investigators say Rice later drove to North Carolina, where she was arrested last month. She is currently being held on a $1 million bond and is reportedly fighting extradition back to Texas.
The case has sparked debate online, with many expressing sympathy for the innocent delivery driver who was unknowingly caught in the middle of the alleged plot.
